DR LISA LOVE
Dr. Lisa Love has been visiting Ojai and its spiritual centers since the mid 1980’s and has lived in the Ojai Valley since 2010. She is the best-selling author of Beyond the Secret, a book on the law of attraction, which sold over 60,000 copies. She has also practiced as a counselor with degrees in Marriage, Family, Child Counseling, Spiritual Psychology and Transpersonal Psychology. At one time she ran the third largest spirituality site on the Internet between 2000— 2005, that helped foster an understanding of a variety of spiritual traditions. Formerly a radio personality, she has used her extensive training and experience to write and speak on spirituality, love, relationships, and the spiritual use of the law of attraction. From 2015 to 2019, she ran Peaceful Self Retreats guiding people on customized individual retreats (as well as group retreats) within the Ojai area. Due to Covid she stopped running retreats and has since turned her focus towards deepening her spiritual practice. She is also engaged in writing an extensive series of books on comparative religions emphasizing the things faith traditions have in common in order to create greater harmony between them.

DANA KARPAIN
Dana Karpain grew up in Southern California and has enjoyed many roles in life including surfer, artist, designer, world traveler, yoga instructor and minister. He graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). Later, he spent 20 years helping to build a yoga retreat and conference center in Central Virginia on 900 acres that included the Light Of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS) which is dedicated to all faiths. The community continues to thrive. When Dana returned to Santa Barbara he continued teaching yoga, while working as the guest service manager at another spiritual retreat and conference center in Montecito, CA. He moved to Ojai in 2013 and found work at The Ojai Retreat & Inn as a manager and marketing staff. Presently, Dana continues his spiritual practices which includes his artwork. He has come to love Ojai and is incorporating his love of the region, yoga and guest services background as a guide for Ojai Spiritual Tours. By the way, he and Lisa Love have been happily married for many years.
